Captain Antirus' Log BNT2

***Log Database Activated on Ship Wide Access Network Unit 1
***Recording New Log Entry
This week we traveled across Alpha Centauri giving SIGNAL MK II a shake down.  With the new capabilities that SIGNAL can provide, I've ordered a colonization attempt on two uncharted planets.  She's an excellent ship and handles even better in planet atmosphere.  Better than the MK I version in pretty much every way.  I plan to make better use of this ship than the previous captain.
Speaking of Captain Edgar, or should I say, Inmate #492763B04587, he has been stripped of rank, property, and jailed for an incident involving the loss of his boxers and a goat before letting his ship be destroyed.  As his first officer, I was given command and ownership of his new ship.  Unfortunately, I wasn't given control of his other property and planets.  It appears the Commission on Earth saw it fit to give me only one thousand credits to get my command started.  Seriously.  That's like five ramen dinners.
Anyway, I need to get back to work raising funds.  I hear there's been reports of raider captains showing up in the galaxy.  My defenses won't build themselves.

Best This Decade

A collaboration with the Blue Man Group and Cirque du Soleil would be the best stage show of this decade.  I'm just saying.

BNT2 Captain Edgar's Log

A proper log.  If you've heard the previous log, please ignore it.  I guess that means I haven't figured out how to erase it.  Anyway, I was reading the manual and found out that any of these terminals can take my log.  Right now, I'm sitting in my escape pod.  Why am I doing that?  Well Captain Antuary has decided that he liked my planets in sector 4951 so much that he had to have them.  As they were my planets, I went to rescue them from their new oppressor only to find that those ungrateful punk colonists enjoy their new ruler so much that they helped in repelling my attack.  They were so successful in helping Antuary that I seem to have lost my ship.  In many many pieces.  I hope they all rain down on them and squish them.  Stupid colonists.  Now I'm in my escape pod.  Cayman's Captain warned me that, if I wasn't careful, I would wake up in my escape pod with my only other possessions being my boxers and a can of bachelor food.  Boy was he wrong.  I seem to have lost my boxers.  This is going to be a joy to explain to the Commission back on Earth.  Good thing is that I still have my Home Sector.  It seems no one has discovered it's location.  And I'm quite sure the people there are loyal to me.

*beeping in background followed by a female computer's voice*
[Incoming Transmission for Captain Edgar of the Recoverable Survival Pod: Drifting Signal.  Captain Edgar, a riot has broken out in Home Sector.  They are unhappy with the low wages and horrible working conditions in that sector.  They urge you to change this.  Or die.  They would prefer that latter.  Transmission Ends]

That's it!  The first thing I'm doing when I get my new ship is to go to all of my planets and wipe out the population.  Then I'll bring new colonists who will be grateful to get most of a meal a day.  Bastards.

Cool! I can make a log from the Captain's chair.  So today has been a busy day.  The Cayman and my ship, the Signal, have been doing a lot of cargo moving today.  Cayman has populated and fortified a new, jointly operated base.  The Cayman's captain has also been sending information to the KZC alliance about the location of some planets belonging to another alliance.  Hopefully this will buy us some protection like it did with Captain Art.
Signal has been ferrying new colonists and replacement fighters to a few of my planets.  I've decided to fire a Genesis Torpedo in a sector far away from the Home sector.  The planet that was created actually turned out good.  Looks like the next few days will be a lot of cargo moving.
